Thanks Paul. Will do!
What? Hmmmm. It seems to be for others. Can you make sure you’re on 30? Also, if it is true and when the program is open and you’ve tried to play the Qobuz files, and a few tries, then download the zip file from the help menu in the top toolbar and send it to me via email. We’ll get you sorted out. And thanks for the help.
A note to the forums, make sure you play around in Maestro for a few minutes, try multiple times to repeat the problem before you download the zip file.
Same request as I just gave. Try it now with 31 and see. If, after trying the tracks and failing, then download the zip file in the top menu bar help menu and email to me and we’ll nail the little booger and get you going. With thanks! And be sure and include a brief description of the problem along with the zip file.
Have a great time in Vienna, but dont get carried away too much by the Wiener Blut! ![]()
I managed to scan the entire 7TB library and complete the tagging process. However, the Album Wall displays “No albums found.”
I also tried scanning part of the library with less than 1TB of music, and there were no issues—the albums appeared correctly in the Album Wall.
I am currently using version 11.0.31.

If, for any reason, you need to uninstall and reinstall the Maestro app, the best approach is to use a third-party uninstaller to remove all associated files.
I found a free Mac application called AppCleaner that is simple and easy to use. It helps remove the app along with any related files that may be left behind after a standard uninstall.
Yes, there still is an AIFF issue. At least there is on my Windows laptop. A while ago, the AIFF files I purchased from Qobuz would not start playing at all, now they sound very distorted. Paul is (or will be) working on it and at this point I have no reason to believe it is unsolvable. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
Ah, they better retire then! ![]()
So that’s exactly the opposite to the way Maestro is behaving on my laptop: the AIFF’s show up just fine, but play very distorted. I haven’t tried the newer version(s) yet though. Since everything else is running so smoothly with v30, I am tempted to leave everything the way it is for a couple of days and just enjoy the sound quality of Maestro.
Paul, here is the requested log file, hope this helps. The stop/start issue is still present in v31…

Paul, I attached the zip file to the email, it appears to have been rejected.
After the big
day, I’ll install version 40 and pray.
V31, still have to login anew most everytime program starts (Mac)
Pain in the neck, will only play one song at a time , necessitating walking to the computer; then, have to try and try again to get another song to play. When they do play next songs, the next songs start, stop, and start again. Sometimes, the next song starts even though user interface shows its previous song. Sometimes a song plays a few bars and repeats, sometimes simultaneous repeats on top of each other. Sometimes, output shifts to Mac or Display speakers even though AirLens indicated in user interface. Sometimes sound comes from speakers and Mac, sometimes simultaneously on on different songs. Sometimes regardless of what song is chosen no song plays even though user interface shows it playing. Sometime a new login required even in middle of a playback. Reliability non existent. Better luck with local files vs Qobuz.
Should not be sold in present condition.
SQ is nice though. A veil removed, lower bass revealed.
this is mostly the case but deep diving into hidden user and system files reveals several other remnants, some which cannot be deleted
Nope I got it. Thanks!
I was joyous when the “walking nas” completed. It’s been another ~24 hours reading tags and has far exceeded the number of items on the drive (more than double). Maestro says another 15 hours to go. A few hours ago the 100% was reached and the progress bar was at max. Both the number of tags processed AND the total number to be processed are incrementing. Looks like another failure to detect the end.
Still on 11.0.30. I see there’s a new version 11.0.32 to install now.
Should I terminate the tag processing? I’d hate to have to start again.
I believe none of the tags that were read will be lost. I believe when you start the process again it will have that data in. I’d stop and try again if I were you. Maybe refine your music directory a bit. Sounds like you have a lot of unnecessary files in there that are being read. Or, like you said, the end of task is broken for you. I have 71,150 files in my music directory. Maestro makes quick work of it.
I just did the update. The Walking NAS portion which yesterday took 1 minute, 20 seconds just took 17 minutes and 6 seconds The file tag reading part took 27 minutes for 39,181 tracks.
The newer versions do not address any of the scanning issues. Can you run a log for me now that it is still open? Help menu, download zip file and email to me.
Aif files are now mostly noise. Sigh.
Diags sent.
