Good suggestion @adifferentpaul. I have a similar size room as @tomhail (mine’s 15’x12.5’) with FR20s and I found the farther I have my listening chair from the back wall the mids and highs get cleaner. Another option could be more treatment on the back wall, but I really enjoy near field listening with the FR20s.

That is a good suggestion! One thing about my room setup is that I have removed the closet doors and put some treatment / absorption on the closet wall. This gives me some extra space behind my chair. I will definitely try moving the speakers further apart and then adjust the chair to see how that impacts the sound stage.

Thanks for sharing your setup experience! I think I have very clean mids and highs but maybe some experimentation based on your suggestion will reveal an unfathomable improvement.
