As the city of Montreal is willing to commit any public funding for a new stadium it is not looking likely. I think they were counting on the large influx of money from the cancelled Covid 2020 World Cup to help with the financing issue.
Considering the amount of money behind MLB, local funding of stadiums by taxpayers is asking a bit much. Montreal got it right IMO.
I can see a March opening day in Edmonton. Thay would be fun to watch! lol

I would assume an Edmonton team would build a park with a retractible roof.
