Bill, thank you spending time with Galen and Jeff! They had a great show! Galen promises another presentation next year.
Here my concept speaker with doubled Iconoclasts, because why not, there’s still only one prototype. Waiting to hear it in stereo.
So far I’ve been pretty fond of its performance.
Just curious if there are any recent comparisons between Iconoclast and some of the other top cables in the industry? Particularly the series 2.
me too
I had Iconoclast series 1 and 2 in a bi-wire configuration, replaced them with Stealth V14 internally bi-wired cables. I prefer the Stealth cables but they are more than 3x the price of the series 1 and 2 combined.
Aerith, get those internal leads shorter!
Best,
Galen
Bob has a review in process, stay tuned. Can’t say more.
That’s quite interesting. I haven’t been hearing as much about stealth cables as I used to many years ago, when they were often discussed. I own the excellent Stealth Hyperphono cables, 2 sets, DIN to both RCA and XLR (the XLR sits unused, I should probably sell it). I had early metacarbon RCA but ultimately didn’t care for them
Funny but Peter Lederman told me there wasn’t a benefit to using premium cables from my Phantom II tonearm to the Soundsmith Strain Gauge, since it’s a different type of signal, yet I found the Hyperphono an improvement.
I run the Series two SPTPC to my TAD’s Mid/hi and series 1 TPC to the woofer, woofer. I found less congestion using the biwire than the series II and the TAD jumpers, and that switching the cables 1top/2 bottom doesn’t sound as good.
The Stealth must be really special to best the Iconoclast bi wire. What is the material Stealth used in your series cable?
Not sure what material Stealth uses in their V14 speaker cables. Their website is rather confusing, their price list shows V14 speaker cables but the Loudspeaker Cable tab does not show any details about the V14 cables.
Bought the Stealth speaker cables based on recommendations from this board, and got a reasonable deal on demo cables from @FRO.
We encourage anyone in question to simply “audition” Iconoclast cables for comparison with “any” cable costing multiples more. The statistics and customer comments speak for themselves.
Belden is 123-years in the business of copper signal transmission, +/- US $ 3-billion (with a capital B) in sales globally, US domestic Engineering and Design Center/manufacturing in Richmond, IN/USA, completely transparent design briefs, white papers, electrical disclosure and a Blue Jeans Cable customer made to order and complete satisfaction/no risk sales guarantee.
Think about the options. Do yourself a favor and at least make the comparison. What’s to lose?
Memorial Day tomorrow. Give thanks.
Bob
All of us at Blue Jeans Cable and Iconoclast wish everyone a safe and Happy 4th. Fireworks and cookout abound! Every day is a gift!
You too Bob. As I sit here listening to my equipment, some of which are “powered” by BAV Power cables (awesome value/awesome quality/awesome sound!)
Happy Independence Day to Bob, Galen, families and all the Iconoclast/BJC/Belden folks!
Same to y’all at iconoclast and bjc.
