After connecting the Airlens to my DirectStream DAC via I2S (HDMI) and to my network router via Ethernet, I was able to play music immediately with great sound quality. However, the DAC now periodically resets the volume to 50 during playback. I normally set it to 96, and this issue only started after installing the Airlens.
Any support will be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that after you change the volume back to 96 you set the volume to fixed.
Reboot your DAC by powering it down with its main switch on the back. It will come back at the 50 volume level. Turn up the volume to your preferred level and I expect it will stay there unless you change it.
IME, adding new sources and fiddling with cable connections and such can trigger the built in safety feature that automatically lowers volume as a precaution.

Thanks, Scotte1. I tried that to no avail . . . . I even set the level to “lock” via settings. It still resets to ‘50’ about every 3-4 minutes.
What cable are you using? Should it be any boutique cable, try with a standard hdmi one.
