Do you have separate power amps or does the AV processor have to be the power amp also?
When I used them together I was using center channel and surrounds powered by the receiver. My power amp from my music system powered the fronts. My Freya preamp in passive mode with volume all the way up (not attenuating the signal from the front left and right from the processor) was operating the same as a pass through mode. It worked well but I essentially had both systems powered up. A lot of complexity just to use the same speakers for fronts without having to mess with switching speaker cables.
I have a saparate power amp.
The processor also separate.

i still vote for a second pair of speakers for your TV front speakers, even if they are small and unobtrusive, then you have the best no compromise path for music…
