# DirectStream DAC and Stellar power amp combo

My old-but-lovely modified Rotel power amp just died (taking out one of my speakers in the process) so I’m looking at options for what to do next. The BHK250 is very appealing sonically but I would have to replace furniture to make room for it. A pair of Stellar M700s is an intriguing alternative.

Can anybody offer any insight into how good a partnership the DS and M700s would be? I don’t use a pre-amp – all my sources are digital and the DS is the only volume control I need.

All the M700 voicing was done with a DS as the source. It’s really rather stunning how good this amp and DAC pair sounds. Worth your audition.
