Agree. Doesn’t sound like you are set for a non-molested transfer in Roon.

Is this true, Audirvāna cannot play dsd256; internet seems to say no
This is case for me, Roon will play however
figured it out
went into iFi setup and changed Volume Options/Mixer Type to NONE rather than Software
now Audirvana plays the DSD256 file
