Been there more than once many years ago when my wife lived in Lincoln Park. This is a bit stagey. In those days it could get kind of weird. The “show” was the customers, and their bad behavior. Hot dogs were decent. Now for late night I prefer JRs on Armitage down the street from Margies. No show but good Maxwell Street Polish. A late night after hours thing for sure.

Always liked their chocolate cake, by itself or whipped in a milkshake. I was told the secret ingredient for its rich flavor and moist consistency is mayonnaise. I now just steal a bite from a family member.

I have been spoiled by Portillos. In the early to mid 60’s when visiting my great uncle in Geneva we’d head out on North Avenue in Villa Park and stop in for a hot dog at the original Dog Shack in the Zayer parking lot. No cake in those days.

Most keen on their thin crust pizza, with italian sausage and there happens to be one currently in my neighborhood.

No I haven’t sadly. I’m from Australia and worked for a company that did their training in St Charles. We’d travel to Rush Street on the last night of the course and party and inevitably eat at Giordanos.
There was a Giordanos clone in Sydney in the '80s but they didn’t stay in business very long 
That’s a serious music and bar scene (at least it was back in the day). I have not been down there in years, but I do get back to Chicago a few times a year. I grew up in The Region (NW Indiana).
Rush Street is now commonly referred to as The Viagra Triangle.

I wanted to be able to Airplay to my main system with AppleMusic for ambient listening only. So, a deal on Black Friday landed my a WiiM Pro (NOT PLUS). How bad can it be? Well… I really should’ve asked how good can it be! Pleasantly surprised, it sounds way better than its retail suggests, if used with external DACs.
