I picked up the DS003 this year. One of the best purchases I have ever made in chasing the audio unicorn. Unbelievably quiet.
Are using the DS pre or an upgraded one eg Meitner?
I am using the DS pre. Honestly, taking the 6,000-dollar hit kind of made me sit up and notice. Is the Meitner better? I will never know. I can say for certainty that the improvement was way more than I could ever hope for. I came from a Sumiko 1700 mc cartridge with relatively inexpensive pro-ject pre-somewhere in the 800 dollar range. Out of all the audio “things” I have ever purchased this gave me an immediate, no questions asked, improvement. On a sad note, I think the price is up to 7,000. Very quiet. Most of my vinyl sounds like a Blue Note Tone Poet pressing. I have the BHK600 and the 2023 Magico S3 speakers. I bought it at SkiFi Audio in NJ. Very pleased with service. Fernando was great to deal with. I have a Technics SL-1200 G with the stock arm. Hopes this helps.
