Context is important, as to which region he is addressing. Is their electrical service 120VAC or 230VAC nominal. An obvious question for your Gryphon dealer and Rune would be if the GPZ 3.10 sounds power restricted with a mega power amp, will they allow for a trade-up to the PZ 3.20 with no $$ penalty?
In an attempt to get a better understanding of just what a Hafner module is I came across this. Not exactly clear to me. Reminds me of Synergistic mumbo jumbo.
Notice the Hafner analog and digital modules he has placed on interconnects. More to come our way?
I know the video link is from the Asian/UK market but I specifically did ask Rune at Axpona about 3.10 with Apex stereo and he said no issues because that is a surprise. Maybe he was confused about US electrical? Not sure. But only one of us has an Apex that I know of and he’s covered by 3.20. A good question is what will happen if the 3.10 is over taxed? There is no fuse or power switch to kill power does it trip the breaker on the panel? Is there something internal that will shut down?
Seems the only solution is to put the 3.10 through its paces on my system.
Happy Ferragosto!
I guess I’ll do what I don’t usually do…. read the manual.
Now if they incorporated a Hafner module that would be something! My wallet says a Sutherland Little Loco is just fine, The Little Engine that Could, so to speak.
I assume you are reaching out to the lending library.
Thanks, Job! A wonderful grilled fish with bollicine (champaign) in a clean (hot) sunny day here. It means a typical Italian Ferragosto day!
Sounds wonderful. Enjoy and hopefully things cool down a bit in the evening!
Thanks. Having visited Phoenix on July two years ago… I’m not worried about the torrid Italian heat anymore!
I feel confident that you would be fine with 3.10 but I know George will strongly recommend a 3.20 for you and a pair of Gryphon amps. Lol
Reporting on day 2 with a PZ. It’s quite amazing how different the system sounds. The PZ sounds great with all music so far tho I haven’t tried classical yet. It truly is a Time Machine in live small venue performance recordings giving you the “you are there experience” you can feel the size of the acoustical space in Ben Webster Live in Copenhagen, Frank Sinatra Live at the Sands, and several others. The way it helps the components create sounds in space and the placement of the musicians and audience is incredible.
I can imagine, but currently in Italy it seems out of the ordinary with temperatures of 40+°.
We arrived in Iseo yesterday from Slovenia and are staying on the mountain well above the lake. It’s cooler there, so I guess were lucky with enough water and shade.
Wow you are really close to me (Bergamo area)… be patient, it seems from next weekend everything is going to change, after a few storms there.
Take a tour around Franciacorta area, lots of famous canteens to visit if you like wine (champagne like)… enjoy your stay
I was there in August, 2001 and thought it was a good practice run for me for the afterlife.
@aangen posted this before but in case you missed it here it is again.
Thanks! Let’s see what we can do. We have until next Wednesday.
But no rush, we may allways come back later on. Too much to enjoy in Italy, a.o. food and drinks.
You were lucky to visit Phoenix in a cooler year. Last year there were so many heat records were broken in Phoenix and Las Vegas areas. So much so that we decided not to buy vacation home there anymore😲
Really a savvy decision!
