Gryphon PowerZone the hype is real!

One thing that has not been discussed here is the effect of the PZ on video. My TV’s are definitely brighter and with more contrast with the PZ. I actually had to turn down the brightness & contrast on the lower TV. The upper OLED TV looks better, and image quality was already quite nice before the PZ.

Of course, the more important improvement is with my pre & power amps & MU2.

Worth the wait IME, but frustrating to a degree. The FrontRow HP PowerChord is a fine companion to the PZ 3.10 in my system and easier to route due to its inherent flexibility. Give the PZ 3.10 some time to settle in, mine took better than 4 weeks. Initial impressions are somewhat misleading due to its chameleon character as it settles in.

A Stealth 2020 for less could work as well.

I seen some have said the flexibility of the stealth 2020 creates installation challenges. So if one makes the proper space the 2020 will reward like no other. This isn’t for @aangen Al knows this better than all of but everyone else. The Stealth cables are for real.

Shunyata Sigma-X XC good match with PZ to connect to the wall outlet? Any experience?

Any cable will work fine. Better cables will offer sweeter performance. I know of one PowerZone user who uses a decent cable in, but ordinary cables out. He is very happy with the sound.

Some of us have bought fancier cables, sometimes replacing one with a new fancy one. For the most part, better cables offer more delicious sound.

But after spending the high cost of the PowerZone new fancy cables may have to be a long term goal. I think the baseline of a very nice cable in, poor cables out has been proven to have enjoyable results.

It would be fun to make a list of the cables people have tried. I have the 40 amp version, the 3.20. It requires two cables in. I am using Gryphon Vanta cables on mine. I am absolutely certain I am leaving potential performance behind by using these instead of the _______ or the ________. Time will tell. But we should try to keep track. I know several people with PowerZones who are using Stealth 2020’s to power theirs. I doubt any of those people have cable envy. At least with the PowerZone.

With PZ, I like silver in, and gold out. This combination sounded amazingly better than silver in and silver out. If you want more detail, I like ZenWave PSR-11 in, and Snake River Takshaka out. They surely beat AQ Dragon out.

Takshaka has silver. Not 100% silver, but a mix of silver & copper.

I know, and I was just making fun. SRA believes the best SQ is achieved by using different materials including silver, copper, and gold. Most of their cables have these elements in them. I was just having a good time watching the Masters (golf).:wine_glass:
