Yes, I’d love to know which converter you’re using as well. I have a Sony UBD x700 that I need to connect to a SMSL DO400. The SMSL has the I2S input with HDMI, but I’ll need a converter in between it and the Blu-ray player.

Have a look at This thread. The Chinese converter works fine connecting the Sony UBP-X800 M2 to the I2S input on my Stellar Strata mk2. Sounds great, only the bitrate indication is not correct.

What kind of SACD player do you have (I’m not seeing it in the thread)?
I have an OPPO 105 that I use the lil black box I got from eBay. But I also have an OPPO 103 that I bought an OPPOmod card and installed it. Costs 220 bucks but I kind of like the clean look of no lil black box. The OPPO 103 is not the audiophile unit but I’m bypassing the internal DAC anyway. I suspect that the transport is the same as my OPPO 105 and the 103 I got used for 200 bucks. I then come out of either OPPO and into the I2S of my PMG 512 DAC. Worked well with the previous PS Directstream MKI and MKII DACs.
I’ve got a Sony UBP-X800 M2 connected through the Chinese hdmi to I2S converter to my Strata mk2.
With Oppo 205 to PSA Dsdac mkii here. Great sound for flac files, dvd-a, and blu ray audio discs.
