I officially quit. No more upgrades. Done, finished, finito. No more dacs, no more streamers, no more speakers, no more amps, no more preamps, no more subs, no more cables, no more rabbit hole. Oh, and I am happy just listening to music and enjoying my system as is.

i quit a decade ago, sold everything except and amp and a pre. had them stored. when we moved into our new home, i could hear them calling… and just when i thought i was out….

Seriously, I wish you the best in your quitters journey. I think I’m there as well (for now…) Never say never any more upgrades cause you’ll have to explain later although I’m pretty sure this group (support staff) would understand completely.

Im not satisfied, I went from borrowing a 4 way tower to getting my 3 way towers and it dont seem the same… but with 6K down the drain and resale not looking good ill just live with it for a few years while I dream about the next set.
Im happy with all my other choices, if speakers are my only gremlin then im almost done one day hehe

The tough thing is finding endgame products for oneself in each category that work well together, and satisfy without the desire to continually upgrade. My descent down the rabbit hole began with the FR20’s, and this forum. They (FR20) are so good that you want to improve your system around them to get everything out of them. As a result, amp, preamp, streamer/dac, subwoofer, cables, and even power product, all needed improvement. All have now been improved, and I can simply focus on music.

Yea, im behind lol, not as big of a budget… I could do fr20s next year but ill prob give it time, id like to do pmg dac and then listen to fr20s and legacy focus se

That is a good point. My upgrade bug started soon after I joined the forum, but it was getting a lot worse after FR30 arrived. New network player, new power strip, new integrated amp, and a bunch of expensive power cords and cables plus tweaks.
I am unofficially quit, I do not have the confidence to say it is official.

All End game products have an expiration date on them.
I “quit” too, but I have three different amplifier options, three preamps, a couple of DACs…and a myriad of speaker/interconnect/power/digital cables.
Am I really quitting? (I need help.)
