I have a PWD Mk2 DAC (and a P3)
I had a usb server/player device that failed on me and have now decided to go the Mac Mini route in line with the excellent article:

I have my new (refurbished Mac Mini). I will be getting a Paul Hynes external linear power supply to replace the internal SMPS and will fit a 1TB SSD.
I have a good usb cable.
I have read about the iFi usb device http://ifi-audio.com/portfolio-view/micro-iusb3-0/
If the Mac Mini has a quiet linear power supply coming in and the PWD Mk2 has a powered usb (I assume), does this iFi device provide any benefit at all?
