# Inserting a Denafrips Hermes between a Jays Transport and a Directstream DAC-1 using I2S

I did the hookup with AES from the DST to the Hermes and on to the DSD MkII with I2S. I cant describe in detail why I feel it’s better but IT JUST IS! I am getting a total musical sound that is awesome. Thanks for the hint.
