The original Gaia feet are an easy recommendation. Hve yet to hear the Neo version.

My simple brain could never accept the idea of speaker feet with elastomers. It seems to me that the mfr goes to great pains to eliminate any movement of the cabinet, ensuring that the only thing moving are the cones and then we stick a rubber thingy under it.

You will not know until you try it, otherwise it is mere speculation. Performance and theory are not universally aligned. The Gaia feet on my PAP Trio Classics were a nice improvement over the OEM spike feet. Even the installer agreed, a PAP employee, and following my install PAP has offered GAIA isolation feet as an option. As far as Wilson speakers go there rather pricey feet also improve performance, especially in terms of focus.

It seems to me that ideally we want the driver to be mounted perfectly rigid so the cone can react exclusively to musical signal. Otherwise some frequencies must be smeared by the driver’s being influenced by external vibrations.
Or maybe not.

one of the coolest (and only sometimes frustrating) aspects of this hobby is when the carefully thought out theory bears no relation to real world results

In theory, but the vibration continues all the same.

Billionaire audiophiles don’t plug in USB cables; instead, they use an audio cable that costs more per meter than a Tesla Model Y to connect their ton-heavy speakers - Luxurylaunches

I am continually amused audiophiles are offended by super expensive cables and other gear. It’s just a matter of degree.

Value, like beauty, is often in the eye of the beholder; and wealth is certainly relative.

Cheers.

Again, it is just a matter of degree.

Buying a separate transport and DAC appears ridiculous to most, as does a pair of RCAs with a price in excess of $10.

It’s their money, they can spend it how they want to. But, buying and using goods of a higher quality, price, or in greater quantity than practical seem over the top for me. So unnecessary. And then there is Bezos’ wedding..
Yeah

Soooo, you drink two buck Chuck? Many people think it’s all you need.

Both of which are entirely relative.

So what is the highest amount one should spend on interconnects before it is unreasonable conspicuous cinsumption?
