A while ago speaking to Peter Foster, Magenta Audio: Basically, Halcro started out as the brainchild of Bruce Candy of Minelab electronic metal detection. The metal detection company was bought out to acquire the military aspect of the business but the new owners had no interest in the Halcro amplifier side so it was shutdown… I think another company were interested but due the collapse in the economy at the time it never got of the ground. Peter Foster and Mike Kirkham of Magenta Audio bought up all the stock and Magenta Audio in Adelaide now own the business…

Fantastic system, the highest of congratulations are definitely warranted. Also, the appeal of a room for 1, does speak to me.
I always wondered how a large screen monitor effects setup. So far, my only experiment was to move my 55" monitor from behind my rack and speakers to a corner (I don’t have a surround sound setup, only interested in 2 ch). My sound stage dropped a couple inches. I am going to move it back.

I want to move up the Coda line, either the TM monoblocks, or the 40. The 60 monoblocks if lots of money. If I don’t move, then speakers would be Legacy Aeris.
If I won the lottery, then start with the 60s, speakers would be probably be one of four, Legacy Valor, Sonus Faber Aida, Wilson Alexx, or Focal Utopia. Depending on room, maybe a pair of subs.
I have 1997 Legacy Focus with Legacy [Coda] stereo power amp. I am very happy with the sound, just would like more power, giving me more headroom.
Also would like to get rid of PC, so probably an Aurender.
Using the above with a Conrad Johnson CT5 and a Lindemann 825.
Odds are none of it will happen, facing bankruptcy and my dump of a house needs a roof, painting, bathroom remodel, and lots more.
I was doing ok, until I let my ex live here, while she paid for her condo, supporting her idiot brother. Then went from a serious road biker, to chronic pain caused by bulging discs, and spinal stenosis. Between pain specialist and meds about $200 extra a month. Living on a fixed income, the $200 cut into food budget and appr $100 a month for credit card and/or savings.
As to your rack, homemade is custom. I will be very interested in your results with the Stage 2s, first footer that I am aware of that has to settle in. I looked at their racks, definitely in the same league as HRS.
If you like concert videos, the Blu-ray of Jeff Beck “Live At Ronnie Scott’s” is excellent.
Chas, I had a 56" HDTV, after the Samsung took a dump, thanks to the generosity of a friend, now a 50" plasma. My room is treated with diy bass traps, panels, and room lens. For the HDTVs, I bought a piece of 2" pyramid acoustic foam. I cut it to size and put Velcro straps on it. Even with adhesive backed Velcro, you need to sew the straps on. I attach it to the TV for listening sessions. It helped with soundstage and it’s depth. If I did it again I would probably go with 3" or 4" foam. I think the name of the company is The Foam Factory, and prices are very reasonable.

The size of the room has an upside, if it were any bigger I’d need to buy M6 🤣
Comfortable size for 99% occupancy rate of one…very rarely my daughter might be the 2nd guest…and my boy, never. Besides, he says he’s not going to talk to me again because I bought new speakers instead of a new Tesla (we wants a Tesla with falcon wings).
Here is my music room, looking aft. All the stuff you see on the right (Q3 and SVS subwoofer etc) ordinarily is somewhere else.

The only issue are 4 gimbaled ceiling downlights which have a spring in their mechanism which can rattle at particular low frequencies…I’ve been meaning to take the springs out but haven’t done so yet.

Do the speakers close proximity to the side walls affect the soundstaging virtues of the Magico’s at all? With what seems like such a narrow room width for that size speaker system… side wall reflection bounce might come into play.

Magico uses sealed enclosures, which makes their speakers more tolerant of room boundaries.
Bass definition is primarily affected by the distance to the wall behind the speaker. Mid-range response and focus is primarily affected by distance from side wall. In my case the front half of the room is 6.5m wide and that gives ample acoustic width for the speakers. The front half of the room on the right side is screened by a curtain to give the appearance of a rectangular shape.
I can’t move the speakers closer to the wall behind them due to obstacles. And I’m limited by how much further I can move them into the room, due to proximity of the listening position. In any event my initial opinion of the bass response of these speakers in that room leads me to reconsider the need for a sub-woofer.
Regarding first point of reflection at the room boundaries, these are all properly acoustically treated, as you might expect. With the lights out and the room pitch black, the acoustic space has the illusion of infinity and it is impossible to guess the physical location of the speakers (even the surround speakers in HT mode).

They are on their Mpod spikes now, I was surprised and happy to find those in the accessory kit (I think I must be one of the first to get them, my Q3 were on Spod spikes).
The last step of the installation is barbed wire and minefield 😆

When the speakers were sitting on the outriggers/casters you could feel the carbon fiber side walls resonate during passages of music playback. Now that the Mpod spikes are biting into solid concrete no such resonance can be felt, the enclosure feels just as inert to the touch whether music is playing or not.

I’ve gone a bit crazy and lashed out and bought a bunch of these…
[Critical Mass Center Stage 2](http://www.hifiplus.com/articles/critical-mass-systems-center-stage2-anti-vibration-feet/?page=2) footers.
Pricey. They come in three sizes 0.8" ($320 each), 1.0" ($445 each) and 1.5" ($695 each). I had been using Magico Qpods under my Esoteric network streamer + clock but now I don’t wish to stack so each component needs to get a set of four footers. Plus my pre-amp gets a set as well (I haven’t used vibration control footers on this before).

I use Alto Extremos. They are pricey too. Although nowhere near as expensive as yours. Luckily, I bought all but one set second hand. One very nice fellow sold me three sets, one at a time.
Do you save your boxes? For resale, I look at the packaging as a form of product authentication.
