Did you try to contact Arthur the US distributor?
FWIW - I had to download a driver for win 10 to connect my laptop up to it. Not sure in your case… but you might try Arthur. I think his email is in this thread

I don’t have a SoTM streamer, but my Matrix no longer wants to play with my 432 EVO Aeon streamer, which is Linux based. It connected and worked great for the first couple months I had it, then “poof” - no music. Thinking it was the Matrix, I had a replacement sent, but it did not resolve the problem. My 432 EVO plays fine when connected USB direct to DSD DAC, but when I put the Matrix in between, no music. The Matrix successfully plays tracks from my laptop —> Matrix ----> DS DAC. So I can’t blame the Matrix or the 432 EVO streamer as they both work as designed independently. They just don’t want to play together anymore. I have a new SoTM USB card + Superclock card coming but after reading your post, it may no resolve my issue. If it doesn’t, someone will get a good deal on my slightly used Matrix.
I didn’t see his email…does anyone know how I can contact Arthur? No disrespect to May, but I’m getting nowhere with her.
Doug
I use the SOtM USB card with the Matrix with no problems, and great results (it betters the UltraRendu). My PC is running HQPlayer, fed by Ronn Server in my Qnap NAS.
If in Win10, you only have to install the Matrix drivers. no drivers needed for the USB card.
I tried connecting a Sonore Sonic Orbiter SE (a small $300 device they made for a little while as sort of a Squeezebox Touch replacement) through the Matrix and couldn’t get it to work. The Matrix does work with my Auralic Aries (original model), which has become my main interface even though it has a tendency to flake out from time to time, mostly because I like the Qobuz integration (otherwise had been using JRMC on a Mac Mini).
It sometimes has problems connecting. Try resetting, disconnecting etc. It should recognise the Matrix automatically. I was having problems at first. Left it for a while came back and restarted and it worked. No problems since. One thing I’ve noticed is that with the streamers like the SMS 200 any change to the system seems to trip them up and confuse them.
I’ve tried this multiple times with no success.
The problem I’m having with my streamer from sotm is that I can’t get the MPD DLNA to work. I keep hitting the start button and the protocol will just not engage.
I think all in all I probably restart the program at least 20 to 30 times now it should be working by now. Again I had no problems with her prior to this. I just find it very strange that it stopped working right when I try to start it with the Matrix. Now I have the Matrix completely disconnected and I’m trying to just get the sotm player to work like I had it before working and it still won’t work. Very strange.
Try resetting your router as well.
Arthur is the U.S. distributor for Matrix. His email is: sales@powerholdingsinc.com
I recently acquired a second Uptone Audio LPS1.2 to power my Microrendu 1.4 and had some problems. The Microrendu would not power up. So, no connection to ethernet, and no signal going to my Matrix, and Roon couldn’t find the Microrendu. I thought I had a defective LPS1.2 but Alex at Uptone explained that there was an issue with the LPS 1.2 powering up with the Microrendu hooked up. He advised me to power up the LPS1.2 fully and only then connect the microrendu. Well, that fixed it. -Funny stuff, indeed, this digital stuff!

Thanks! I’ll get a hold of him once I get the problems with my SMS 200 figured out. I appreciate it!
You didn’t change your driver then remove the matrix did you? Just checking.
I honestly don’t remember what I did now.
Though I’m pretty sure all I did was try to put the Matrix inbetween my SMS 200 and the GCD and that’s it. Then all I did was try to install the driver from the Matrix on my laptop per the instructions included by Matrix.
This shouldn’t have affected the SMS 200 at all (installing the Matrix driver) - the two are completely separate from one another.
Why do you ask about changing my driver then removing the matrix?
Just to confirm…I did download the driver for the Matrix while the SMS 200 was in place but that didn’t fix the problem for the SMS 200. I then removed the SMS 200 per the instructions given by Moon Audio to “start from scratch.”
Because at some point you have to tell the software that is delivering your music what driver to use. If u changed that then removed the matrix then your old setup would be using the wrong driver. If you never did anything like that it would explain why matrix no work.
I use jriver and had to point jriver to the matrix driver. Prior I had it pointing to the psaudio driver. Does that make sense to you? I am unfamiliar w your setup
So again I am unfamiliar with the SMS. But I would think that whatever plays the file needs to be told what driver to use. Just downloading it seems like you did nothing but put a file on your local drive. Hoping someone else can chime in that knows your setup because I think we are close to your problem.
Agreed, except I uninstalled the Matrix driver like it was never there in the first place and the problem still persisted.
A rep (Kalim) at SOtM usa told me he never heard of anyone having the problem I’ve been experiencing after all the troubleshooting I’ve done…the MPD / DLNA not engaging (becoming active) in the Eunhasu web interface.
They’re sending me a new micro sd card as it may seem now like the sd card I have has some sort of fault with it. I tried to re-image the card following their instructions, and it just failed and I cannot fix it. Hopefully the new card they’re sending me will boot just fine. If not, there’s some sort of problem with the SMS 200 itself.
So in my humble opinion, installing the driver does absolutely nothing. You need to tell something to use it. In my case jriver. If you never did that - then I don’t think matrix works because your software wasn’t utilizing the correct driver. If you did that - then uninstalled the driver - well you need to tell the software what driver to use as you have pointed it to an uninstalled driver. Hopefully things shake out for you.
Totally agree. That’s how things shaked out installing my PS Audio drivers too.
The SMS is compatible without a driver. No driver is needed on the PC since it is not connected directly to the Matrix.
