For those who use, or are thinking about trying, MinimServer: a major new release has just been posted. Among many other things, it adds support for WAV files with ID3v2 tags and for UPnP search. See the release notes at http://minimserver.com/relnotes.html

Are they planing to charge for the minimstreamer?

I don’t know, but I suspect not. After all, MinimServer itself, the main program, has been and continues to be donationware. MinimStreamer replaces and enhances transcoding, which has been part of MinimServer for some time. Some developers put limits on how long beta versions can be used because they want users to replace them with the final versions.
