It’s funny how things go.
I liked the sound of Modwright but had an issue with the balance and some weird banging. I also wanted all the controls on the front.
Went to my own dealer and had a home trial of this thing, which is very good indeed and after a few days ordered one.
To access the settings at the back I attached these under the hifi unit, with the benefit of some industrial damping material between the wood and the fixing plate.
It transpires there are several cartridge manufacturers who are having trouble making their products. I went for the humble Denon DL103R, with the not so humble Expert Stylus ruby cantilever and Paratrace upgrade. This is a tremendous thing for the price and is a good match with the phono amplifier.
