New PS Audio Subwoofer

I think it’s Googles naming habits at work!!

My Rel subs are wired this way. LFE off surround processor high level off of speaker connection.

That would work! I believe the REL subs with high-level input also support LFE. A dedicated .1 channel fixed at a 120 Hz roll-off and independent of the high-level input settings.

In a home theater scenario, the F12 high-level input would support your main speakers. If you configured your AV processor with surrounds as ‘small speakers’, I’d say the crossover point would be considerable higher than your floor-standing speakers. The LFE signal supporting the surrounds would be “cut off at the knees” by the F12 DSP configured at a lower crossover frequency.

Perhaps if your surround speakers were the same as you left & right main it would work but who has that! I would think the F12 would shine in a dedicated role. A dual-purpose sub like the REL might be a better fit for those who need full control over both inputs.

Has anyone seen an image of the F12’s wireless transmitter? Pls send if have. Wondering about size, power supply etc., and where it would fit in my system.

Am direct from DAC to amp, and already using the balanced outputs from my DAC to my amp…so wonder where to connect (also añready using amp’s 2nd outputs for my pair of Rels which I might keep until am ready to stack the F12s if they really are that much better than the Rels for my purposes (90% music)…

mahalos for any insight

Here’s a photo of the transmitter that goes with the sub. I didn’t have anything to measure with, but it’s about 4”-5” in diameter and an inch or slightly more in height. Light as a feather! It has a pair of RCA jacks on it. Didn’t notice any power connecter, perhaps battery powered?

As a bonus the card I placed beside the transmitter for scale has the equipment being demoed. Note: not sure the card helps without measurements, but it is slightly smaller length wise than a standard postcard.

awesome, mahalos! really helpful

The transmitter is powered from the wall via a small din connector and wall wart.

Chris_Brunhaver, A couple months ago you discussed the sub Auto Eq feature and mentioned another product with similar DSP that you were working on. Any more news on that?

Did you decide to keep the Auto EQ feature in the F12 sub app that works with one sub and an iPad or iPhone, and will the Zen mic still work with an Android?

It’s actually just a USB C power supply for the transmitter.

Actually a couple of different projects. One is an high performance compact active speaker that’s not on out official product roadmap yet.

On our highest end products, we’ll keep them a purist analog design but having DSP eq for room correction and crossovers can be pretty powerful on smaller systems with satellite/subwoofer setups or more “lifestyle” electronics
