It sounds to me that the routers are Apple (Extreme, Express or Time capsule).

Normally they produce DHCP in ranges 192.168.x.x/172.6.x.x or 10.0.x.x.

You have to make sure that the P10 is on the same subnet if you connect it to a DHCP server (your router).
I suggest you set it up with a static IP, Subnet and Gateway.
Make sure that if you use two routers, the downstream one is configured in bridge mode to make sure that both routers does not submit DHCP addresses at the same time, which would create conflicts.
You can use the Fing app on your iDevice to discover the P10 IP address distributed by your router:
 https://itunes.apple.com/no/app/fing-network-scanner/id430921107?l=nb&mt=8

After you have saved your configuration you might connect via a web browser (by entering the IP address). I am using a wifi access point on my LAN to connect with it.

 Example found below:

You just enter the DHCP IP address given by your router into your web browser (in my case 192.168.1.9) and then you can access the P10 menus and make changes from dynamic to static IP (etc.).
