P5, DSD and DMP turning on from standby after a power outage

So the question is what I can do to stop this happening - the surge when the power coming back on overrides the standby mode. Why does this happen? Like others seems I need to turn off the main power when I’m away for any length of time. Doesn’t happen with my Marantz CD/amp units which are connected via a PS Quintessence.

I lost a much loved CJ EV 20 preamp to a brown in (not a typo) after a power outage and have tried to isolate my equipment from power surges so that this will not happen. Seems the P5 is not buffering the power back on phase?

Your P5, DSD and DMP are operating normally.
Mine do the same thing. But it does not really matter much, there is little difference between on and standby in those units.

It is mostly whether the touch screen is on or off.

Do they have a standby mode which is essentially "on" as the listed PS Audio products do? As st50maint mentioned, there is little difference between on and standby in these products.
