# Paul's video where he discusses Jazz at the Pawn Shop mk2 DAC

Has anyone else noticed the mk 2 DAC sitting in front of Paul in the video where he mentions Jazz at the Pawnshop. If not rewatch it and take a look athe the rather large board that resembles a power supply located in the normally vast open space in the left front area. I wonder what that is about. I intend to give them a call during the week to see if I can get any answers. If I do I will pass them on.

You mean that grayish-blue (power)bar underneath the board with plugs in it?

You can see the capacitors. It is in the normally big open space toward the left side of the unit. I see a small ribbon cable runing from it.

Took a screenshot of a video Paul did introducing the Mk II. There is quite the difference … I’m assuming it is still a DAC, not a preamp that has a very similar board in the back.

That is why it caught my eye. Makes me wonder what they are up to with the DAC.

I did speak to Taylor today and he said it was one on many breadboard ideas that did not go anywhere. It is good that they are always looking for the next possibility.
