Also, I found that upgrading the fuse made a significant improvement.

👍🏻 Definitely!
I waited for the power cord to complete its burn-in before changing the fuse to enjoy the improvements one at a time. It felt like a child trying sweets one flavour at a time 😄

I would also mention that the P3’s spatial resolution and musicality is very noticeably enhanced by the use of Stillpoints SS feet. I recently added a set to mine and was quite impressed at the improvements. They are expensive but it’s a case of getting what you pay for in this case.

I agree that the regenerators benefit more than subtly from isolation attention. I use VooDoo Cable IsoPod under mine.

Which fuse did you use upgrade your P3?

Now that you have fixed your power cord issue, I suggest listening to something you know well on your system. Then, turn your system off, reverse the direction of the fuse and see if you like the sound more or less than previously. Choose the direction that sounds better to you.

And no, this is not a “magic” trick, it is simply something that many of us have tried and many of us have found to make a (positive) difference to the sound. Don’t worry about “why,” just try it. Costs you nothing.

If it was available for the specs needed, the Audio Magic Bees Wax Ultra Premier, my preferred fuse. But, I think they didn’t offer it, so I went with the top Synergistic Research at the time, which I think has been replaced by the Orange.

Some of the audiophile fuse manufactures highly recommend that, too.

Thanks George! Took your suggestion and reversed the P3 fuse again…really no subjective difference with my stock fuse either way. Once my P3 break-in has completely settled, then I’ll be “considering replacements” with the fuse, power cord and isolation feet! 🤔😉

To go along with today’s [“ **Paul’s Post** ”](https://www.psaudio.com/pauls-posts/in-the-center/) commentary, here’s a pic of my new, fully re-arranged 2.1 dedicated intimate music room, including the P3! 😉

Nice! A cleaner look and a nice tweak that gives you the illusion the stage is bigger.

Thanks Jamesh,

Yes…the illusion Is Bigger, Better defined and overall, a much more natural and realistic presentation! 😊

> [@Theo](#):
>
> Powering directly from the wall socket (just like the prior conditioner) brought the P3 sonics to within 99.5% of my minimum expectations (to equal or even Better the prior conditioner)!

**New P3 Update** : With over 400 hours of “playing music” break-in time, the P3 continues with no improvements from post #19 (plugged directly into wall socket). In direct comparison to my line conditioner this AM, the P3 has slightly more weight in the upper bass that gives a warmer, but less detailed midrange and high end to the overall bandwidth presentation! Soundstage is still slightly more diffused and congested with less depth, less focus and less air around vocals, instrumentals, strings, piano and venue ambiance. In other words, it sounds very smooth and clean, but the 3D illusion and liveliness takes more listening effort to comprehend, yielding less suspension-of-disbelief.

I still have about 12-days (another 300 hrs) of playing time for the P3 to break-in more before making a decision to keep or return! I really like the P3 but to continue use, need for it to exceed the sonic characteristics I know my very revealing component system is capable of !! 🤔

Fingers crossed the last few days of use allow it to settle in nicely with the rest of the system.

Break-In Delay…Evacuated Friday away from SE LA to Tyler Texas due to “Cat 4 Hurricane Ida”…won’t be returning home till Wednesday (1st) at the earliest! Power, water and cell service are all out (for 1-2 weeks)! Blessings for us as all family members are safe & well and our home appears undamaged!

Jamesh, I may not get back to the P3 break-in till after the P3 return date of 9-6-21…please, requesting maybe a 1 to 2-week extension if possible?!?

Thanks, Ted

Hope everything is alright down there! Yes, no problem at all taking a few extra weeks. Specially given what’s going on. We are pretty loose about the “30” days. It’s rarely needed, but we don’t mind letting people keep something for 2 months to make sure it’s the right fit. We just ask that you let us know. So thanks for that Ted!

Thanks Jamesh, Elk and Serhan…Family are all Okay, so we really are good!! 👍

Our eldest & spouse, who are living with us for the time being (due to oilfield layoffs) lost everything, as their home belongings were stored in a large metal building that got totally wiped out (gust to 150mph+)…but, we are all still very thankful to have each other!!! 🙏

Good to hear you are all OK, but still a tough thing to go through.

I am sorry to hear of the loss of your eldest’s things. Yes, they are “just things,” but when it is your loss it is more challenging than that - and they certainly did not need more stressors. ☹
