I couldn’t agree more. The No. 523 is superb. I had a No. 38 which I never was crazy about and traded it in toward a DirectStream Sr. Ran the DAC directly into my No. 23.5 for a while but it was missing a bit of punch. Adding the No. 523 changed all that. I’m going to be buried with mine!
