Reposition speakers after component change?

Am jealous of your line source speakers as it it makes placement and tuning much easier than my situation. My speakers are commonly described as “head in a vise” or “head in a halo” speakers. When you’re in the sweet spot OH MAN! is it sweet! But move even 2 inches and that sweetness starts to fall away. At 4 inches the center imaging completely disappears. This works OK for me as I’m the only one in the house that will sit and listen so I only need a “1 head” solution. But it also means quarter inch movements in placement makes a very noticeable difference in imaging. Additionally, I have pots on the crossovers which lets me adjust mid-range driver and tweeter “contour” by 3db. Just lots of adjustment based on design. It’s actually driving me to bump priority on replacing the speakers with something that is far more forgiving. I have yet to find something that matches my enjoyment when these speakers are set right and also in my price range.

Looking forward to a time when I can get to CO and hear your speakers. I think PS is one of the few companies who truly appreciates proper imaging and soundstage and I expect your speakers will not disappoint.

I think you’d be impressed and enjoy what we have created in Music Room Two. I can’t wait until the pandemic eases and we can again have visitors.
