I’m waiting on delivery of an Asgard 3 headphone amp, my first toe-dipping in the Schiit waters (just realized how revolting that sounds). Supposed to arrive Monday, though it’s unclear whether the big storm approaching the eastern half of the country will affect delivery or not.

In Jason Stoddard’s 2024 wrap up video he mentioned that the original Asgard was one of the first products offered when Schiit launched in 2010. If I remember his comment correctly, a reviewer, in the daze before MCU familiarized the world with the names and places of Norse mythology, misread Asgard as Assgard. So the reviewers first impression was Schiit launching an Assgard. It was hard for the reviewer to take them seriously.
But they are definitely serious and I count myself as a fan boy. They are by far the most reliable audio products I’ve owned. Build quality is top notch. The wall wart products carry 2 or 3 year warranties and all of their IEC products carry a 5 year (non transferable) warranty. They sound good - maybe not the best - but good enough at sane prices. The lineup is always interesting - they’re constantly cooking up new stuff - and they have fun.

I’ve kept my eye on their offerings since shortly after they started up. Their products have always been interesting, but I didn’t have a need for one till now. I was really intrigued with their turntable, and was sorry to see it dropped from the line.
Haven’t heard the Urd 
, but I do use the Modi Multibit 2 DAC in NOS mode with a Wiim Pro Plus streamer for background music in the house. Can’t believe something this good is so small. Never heard a Shiit stack, but would like to.
