So Here is one:

Recent arrivals in the mail, both excellent sounding discs, great performances.

Blossom Dearie “Lost Sessions from the Netherlands” Lost Recordings cd

Starts off with an orchestra, which is nice, then the next session is a trio which is VERY NICE.

Dizzy Gillespie “Live at Singer Concert Hall 1973” Lost Recordings cd

Some very nice guitar.

This Dizzy album is exceptional. It sounds so modern, fusion-like on some tracks, I couldn’t believe it. Love it. Have digital and vinyl. Have most of them, but not the Dearie…have to check.

It is very nice. Nicely dynamic for Dizzy who sometimes was near 11 nearly all the time.

‘Unfold’, by the Necks. Surprised and happy to find this on qobuz, it was originally released on a double album that I couldn’t track down.

Remarkable record ! Enough said…

Excellent live recording.

A hidden gem worth seeking out.

This one is better than I expected … one of the better three studio recordings (with Cafe Blue and Modern Cool) imo. The live recordings are also good.

Sharing this excellent interview with Vijay Iyer. As always Vijay gives his heart.

At 55 minutes, I’ll need to come back to he Pace Reports interview of Vijay Iyer.

It is lengthy but it is interspersed with the latest trio live.

I look forward to it.
