Thanks, @adifferentpaul
Interestingly, mine still shows 1.32 but it works now.

For the last while Iāve been having trouble connecting to the GRUI on my iPad. It will only connect after a hard restart, so Iāve been pretty much forced to use a tab in Chrome to select the input which always connects. It might force me to use the Grimm remote, which so far I havenāt been using because I like using an Apple Remote for volume.
A minor pain, but a first world problem for sureā¦
I use Chrome on my iPad, an always open tab, and I canāt recall any problems. Apparently Apple did something in a recent release that prevents Safari from working with the MU2. Grimm is waiting for Apple to fix the issue but they seem less than enthusiastic. Lots of unhappy Safari Grimm users.
Thatās good information. I will switch to chrome since I have a dedicated iPad for MU2 control.
@aangen I had success accessing the GRUI with Chrome on my iPad. Thanks for the tip!!!
Glad to help!
I have not turned off MU2 for more than a month, and I just did a reset. There is a clear improvement from doing that. I will probably do a weekly reset from now on.
What is your reset process? Power down from the rear of the MU2 and then back on?
Thanks
Yup, that was it. I waited a few minutes before I turned it on, and I do not know if that would make any difference.
Music has sounded good lately. I also had turned my MU2 off using the phone app, which seemed to turn it off completely. Is that the reason for music sounding better recently?
It helped to reset once a while (either by app or from the back of MU2) according to Al, and he is never wrong.
After five to six week leaving it on, the reset really makes a difference.
Do to the last four versions of Roon I am pretty sad with my MU2. I wish it werenāt so. I think the Roon software is getting sloppy. Memory leaks or worse. And since they ruined Roon Radio I am 97% less of a fan than I used to be.
This rant is more about Roon than the MU2. But I may be moving on.
Sad to hear, but nothing is forever. Roon has been slow to load up Q and T lately I noticed. I know you have something that you can move on to, but I will stay with it for a bit longer, until Roon totally screws up. ![]()
Same here with Roon and the MU2. Not sure whatās going on but slow to show albums and to start playing is annoying.
We may have to track them down at Axpona and lay down the law!
I concur whole heartedly. Lifetime subscription must equal forever more.
Or put out the fire
Say what I must have missed something.
Maybe its because Roon spontaneously stopped loading on my iMac (which is my Roon host and server) and I have not figured out how to get it to come back up yet.
After a year and a half of Roon Radio being my very favorite thing, starting around June 2025 they changed it in a very bad way. I donāt try it very often anymore but when I do it is usually useless to me.
No need to fix the Roon issue on your iMac.
I also have noticed that albums displayed in Qobuz will take forever to load for the last few months. However, those shown in the library, pulled up from the search window, or playlists load right away. So if I see an album in Qobuz to check out, I just type it into the search box and that gives immediate access. Another step yes, but not a huge impact on my user experience.
