I asked Edgar that question he he said “Don’t look for solutions when you have no problem”. So I don’t do the Apple upgrades. It’s an appliance, not a desktop computer.
I just got my Bacch4Mac back today. It has been out on loan since I got my adio back. The adio has to go back to the shop to repair an issue from the previous owner. It was supposed to be caught when I shipped it back for it’s upgrade, but it got missed. Sigh.
I know all about that. He only lets people into that group that buy from him. He won’t let me in. And Edgar threw a fancy party at Axpona for Bacch people and TAG was supposed to invite me. He didn’t. I missed it. I hate that guy. You follow him all you wish. I like trump more than him.
Yes - as a former system and database administrator- Security is very important. Always have the latest approved operating system and database security updates.
I guess I am just more accepting of people and their differences. That doesn’t mean I endorse them or their behaviors, but I can tolerate them. All of us have our quirks.
Probably better that way. I can’t say I give their YouTube channels much attention. I checked out the Mark Levinson interview and left with a feeling that the time could be spent better elsewhere.
Now, as we discussed at Axpona, I do look forward to your upcoming YouTube Channel, Al’s Comparative Digital Discussion. My understanding was the inaugural edition was a double blind comparative analysis of DAC owners manuals. The second edition being a roll-up and ranking. I’d offer up a special topic The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, Ramifications for Digital to Analog Converter quantization, measurement , and the ultimate listening experience.
Most amusing. I do not believe I have ever seen a DAC manual. I know I have them, but I like to leave them sealed for resale value. I am totally focused on resale value. No wait, that isn’t even a concern.
The guys I like the least are the ones who sit in a chair and tell their entire history starting with:
“And then the earth cooled”
Then an explanation how to pay them for their wonderful service. Ack.
But in print it can be just as bad. The guy who reviewed the wonderful Grimm MU2 would be better at reviewing various McDonalds stores. Worse still, when Jason Victor Seriously reviewed the Gryphon Ethos Transport DAC he wasn’t interested in its Transport function that I believe is its strongest quality.
My reviews would be six seconds long: “It seems Nice”.
