Powerzone first could negate the need for the Fideliums and maybe the Muon Pro, unless you get the MU2. In that case the Muon Pro is mandatory.
Interesting. Iāll wait to see what the Australian price is!
On the systems we have used it with the clarity and detail gets to a new place. A really nice place. Plus the sound stage and image locations sounds noticeably way more distinct. Bass, it cleans up to the point where some of the lads with more teenage bass preferences might be sad. Kick up the subs then. I have been doing without subs since getting the PZ. They are on now and they blend so well they seem to vanish. I drop my ear in front of one and it is definitely there, working.
Precision is the word. But itās musical. You will hear new things from familiar recordings.
If you can, get one before any other upgrade, itās a jump! A fuse ignoring jump at minimum. Maybe special feet as well. Heck, itās a BACCH step up that when combined are a fully new sensation.
Veils, hah!
If I was the President I would make them available free just so a bunch of basement dwellers would be supportive of me. Or at least less pissed.
My bunny likes this sub:
Oh wow!! Ok, definitely going to check the AU priceā¦ā¦ I have a problem though. My system is so far apart that my left monoblock feeds off the wall and everything else via the P20.
You will have to adjust to a new situation. Many are switching back to the missionary position: Gear in the middle. Now that we have absurdly expensive taste in fancy cables, shorter cables save a lot.
But! In your case I will share a tip. Go to a place that sells outside extension cords. Get a 12ga extension cord, short as needed. Plug one end into the distant amps fancy power cable, and the other into the P20 or whatever. In my experience, if you use the fancy cable after the extension cord, it is inaudible. Cords are cheap, give it a try just for giggles.
That is brilliant. Makes good sense after the great lengths of ordinary house wire. It is the last bit that counts!!
I finally had some time last night and did bacch software upgrade. I will say it definitely brought more smoothness and cohesiveness to the sound. I will say it sounds more natural than previous versions. Everything in the recording is still there but less of a feeling of spotlighting of sounds but still a massive soundstage. The new level matching was truly needed with or without ORC. Still judging the new Spectral entropy default settings.
ā6. Changed the default settings for Spectral Entropy for the QFF. LOP and HOP to 70, 15 and 10 respectively (previously it was 70, 25 and 25) as a starting point with less aggressive correction at high frequencies**. (All editions with ORC.)**ā
They seem to see improvement too. But as usual there wasnāt a bad song in the mix with Bacch after a listen.
Happy bunny guarding family assets.
Security provided by the Rabbit of Caerbannog!
For my new DIY subs, I got aluminium cone Purifis. Figured they be safer with our cat too. Plus they will be half a meter off the floor.
Though that is not high enough to protect from the Rabbit of Caerbannog or the cat, here perched a meter above the speakers
Iāve been an Audiophile for as long as I can remember some 55+ years.
We are listening to much more music since the addition of BACCH to our system.
There isnāt even a thought of upgrading any of the other equipment, we just listen to beautiful music all day long with no fatigue. We have Qobuz 100+ million songs, plus 6,500 songs on a hard drive. So much music so little time.
We are very happy campers!
Just my thoughts,

I agree 100% Sir!
New Bacch4Mac owner here. I am trying to set up a foobar2000 ā BacchDSP ā DAC chain using the BlackHole Loopback virtual driver, but I canāt get this to work yet. I will not be streaming audio, local file playback only. XTC filters are set up, and everything sounds fine via the internal player. Any ideas?
Edgar.
Eventually, I will hear from Edgar or staff, but Iām getting impatient. I was hoping someone here went through a local player setup. There should be nothing specific to foobar2000.
I wish I could help but I never do any of those things. Roon only. There needs to be a forum. Maybe that cowboy hat guy will answer. If you bought it from him.
Am travelling at present and only have my phone. The general process using BlackHole is to create an aggregate device called SF4BACCH (exactly that) in the Mac Audio/MIDI settings with BlackHole and your DAC as sources, set the clock source to your DAC and tick drift compensation for BlackHole. Then in BACCH4Mac, run the script in auto-configure with SF4BACCH as name. With some softwares, I play to BlackHole. Others to SF4BACCH. I forget which use which. Am travellingā¦
Give that man a cowboy hat!
Thanks for your help. I have tried every possible combination of Blackhole/DAC aggregate devices and input/output settings over the past week without success. This was after watching all the Blackhole youtube videos and reading the Blackhole documentation. I canāt get sound from the music player into BacchDSP. The Windows VST setup from BacchLabs takes 5 minutes. Iām sure Edgar can set me straight, but I havenāt received any information despite four emails since last Friday. I was hoping to get this sorted out before the long weekend.
Besides the auto configure for SF4BACCH⦠and rebooting the Mac with the DAC already on⦠the resync audio button is helpful. (Picture borrowed from @jvvita)

Are you trying to set up before Edgar formally installs BACCH via remote link? If so, that is not advisable. I expect he will have arranged a date to remotely install BACCH. Heās a really busy guy but absolutely first class! Be patient and all will be well. You will be in for a treat!
