My Daughter lived near (100km west) the town where Barrios was born during her time in the peace corps. Drove through there on the way back to Asunción, there is a cafe with his name although I didn’t make the connection til just now. Will have to listen just for that.

It’s Bandcamp Friday again, and my recommendation this month is this by my good friend (and skint student) Mara Liddle

This is very mellow stuff, recorded on basic recording equipment, and reminds me somewhat of Big Thief at their most laid back.
