get me being all classical like…

this was a tune (!) played to us in primary school (age around 9 or 10) (along with a radio program that did some analysis and encouraged us to to write something about it).

it’s a pleasant antidote to the Sex Pistols i played earlier

It was also the music that would accompany Elmer Fudd hunting Bugs Bunny.

I really should watch some Bugs Bunny cartoons, I saw very few of them,
we got Tom and Jerry in our (UK) household, and, later, Scooby Doo (terrible animation by comparison to T & J but hugely enjoyable nonetheless)

One CD I enjoy is the “Tunes from the Toons” compilation - Hair Bear Bunch, and of course, Hong Kong Phooey (probably not so PC these days, but as a child, great stuff, I have a favourite T Shirt with HKP on).

You would be (pleasantly) surprised by how much classical music they snuck into Merrie Melodies/Looney Tune cartoons.

I forsee a binge week watching a bunch of them. For musical research purposes of course
as an aside I always thought some of Frank Zappa’s music was perfect for Tom and Jerry (due to the similarity).
