Anecdote alert
I should add, Prisoner Cell Block H was a staple entertainment for the folks who stayed up late in Birkenhead back in the day, and you had different episodes on different local ITV stations.

This meant that I was often to be seen outside out home (in our trailer-trash days) with a broomstick or umbrella, manually turning the TV aerial around from pointing at Winter Hill transmitter (for Granada TV) to Moel-y-Parc transmitter for (HTV Wales) for the next episode.

This I didn’t mind but when attempting this on the 13th floor of a tower block (whilst visiting friends) it is a little more precarious than I liked!
