Miles Davis “The Man with the Horn” Sony Blu-Spec CD2 2023
I remember the impact this had in '81 when it was released. I had digested all the electric Miles before this, and had gotten myself grounded in the earlier Columbia albums and some of the Prestige and Blue Note material. And then, out of retirement came this–Marcus Miller made an instant impression on me and a few of my friends.

“Jazz at the New School” cd
A well-lubricated session. I think a bass player as sober as a judge would have helped tighten this up. But it’s fun as is and Krupa is really feeling it!
