also - birthday / christmas toy - got myself a disco deck 
complete opposite to the Planar 2 in every respect, and i have found i enjoy having them both for the massive contrast. I think i was nostalgic for my old JVC direct drive i had in the 80s, though that had tasteful orange neon, not the garish crappy blue LED we now get with everything* 
* i have built a few little preamp projects here over the years and have stuck to the “Original Opal Fruit Colours Only” rule for LEDs (non UK folks: Starburst (candy) - Wikipedia )
Edit - the “No” sticker is over the “reverse” button - the chunky DJ cartridge / stylus may be up to that, but not any decent “audiophile” one.
Once the warranty is up I may disconnect it (and maybe replace the blue LEDs!) although I’m more likely to lend / give to our son, once he has a place with enough room, he has about 6 or 7 records now and nothing to play them on yet
