Mr Keen for morning coffee
Qobuz. CD. Prompted, yet again, by @stevensegal in Classical Spinning I went in search of Jaqueline Du Pre, Delius and Elgar. This was the closest album I could find. I rather enjoyed the recital; the interplay between piano and cello was good and Ms Du Pre was not without talent as a cellist! The Delius was more complicated. Although I had never consciously listened to it before the music was completely familiar. I blame boyhood radio listening. It thus became an exercise in nostalgia rather than critical appraisal. I think he would have excelled at film music. Sound was OK.
Been on a binge with this guy, 4 albums in a row. Really liking the Ambient Electronica that he puts down. Good late night or early morning music.
Morning Fuzzy. but a lot better so far today thanks
Bright sun and frost too which always helps!
I wonder how @Dirk is doing (-23 celcius recorded last night “up north”)!
As usual the Wirral is relatively mild…
Wow it was 65 F here yesterday, but the bottom will drop out in the next few days, back to old man winter.
Glad the noggin is on the mend!
That’s cold! We are suppose to hit -22 C this weekend.
@tmcqueen crazy you have that weather and we are in the teens F here in Ohio.
This is WAY outside my normal listening range but it sounds pretty good this morning.
Thanks to all who post here.
Taking my, not quite 3 year old, grandson to the field museum in Chicago today (they reopened a week ago or so), and therefore, I’m taking the day off. Kid is nuts about dinosaurs and they have Sue the T. Rex. Sue is the largest T. Rex discovered so far. Found in South Dakota and named after the woman who discovered the bones. Can’t wait.
