Qobuz. CD. In the UK Handel was part of the musical background when I grew up; never listened to explicitly but always around. These sonatas thus seem comfortingly familiar. Not exceptional, but enjoyable. Sound & performance both OK.

Yep - fairly dull stuff, no syncopation, no interesting timbres, very “classical”.
I always thought Mr. Hillage was the standout guitarist of that “scene”, and since Pierre Moerlen is no more there’s little rhythm I enjoy in Mr. Oldfield’s stuff.
Not moaning, personal thoughts only
