no idea but you could use a music-identifier app like shazam or similar
Gollee…shazam…
Not sure about that one…
Thanks terzinator
yeah, it’s pretty slick.
Shazam is an iPhone app that ID’s a song and leads you to the iMusic store where you can buy it if it is available
How would I use this when watching C-SPAN and music is playing
while waiting ?
Do I simply launch the app while the music is playing?
yeah, you open the app, and then you hold the phone’s mic up to the speaker…
it analyzes the music and identifies it.
And i think gives you spotify and other links
Ok I’ll give it a go…
Thanks guys
Any others with ideas or suggestions please chime in…
Now here is a request…
It is quite possible that C-SPAN producers are audiophiles
themselves…and possibly even PW Regenerators…that “Just so happen” to be lurking around these parts…
Do join the forum and help solve this…
Thank you everyone…keep it coming
Have you tried contacting the producer(s) at cspan?
Shazam is likely much more focused on popular music but certainly won’t hurt to try.
Thanks brett
You are probably right about shazam’s liimitations on music genre
Shazam correctly identified the 4th track on this pretty obscure album, Schubert’s “Du Bist die Ruh” so it may have a broader catalog than you expect
SoundHound is another good app similar to Shazam with some different bells and whistles (lyrics, YouTube links, etc). If one can’t find a song, the other one usually will. I use them both.
Siri on iPhone is another option to try. Just ask her what song is this…
Well guys…I put the cart before the horse…let me explain…
my previous cable provider outprice themselves therefore dropping them went with another service that does not have c-span…
So now I don’t have full access to c-span…
Thanks everyone for giving me a hand…
