Care to name some (well-implemented) loudspeakers with the widest, stretchiest, highest excursion surrounds? Not subwoofers, just fairly full-range speakers that are a joy on the eye as their diaphragms dance.
I have Sansui ES-207’s from 1978 that have phenomenal bass given their modest size of 30×30×60cm. Well, they’re driven with Class A 100W with 80A peak current too.
Both the active 8" driver and the 8" PR dance like hell with given music, sometimes I wonder how 40-year-old speakers withstand such excursive torture. Like, an inch easily if not more.
