Wifi streaming adapter frustration (Suggeston for PS Audio)

I’d pick wifi over EOP or MoCA, but I prefer a direct ethernet connection whenever possible. Wifi is subject to interference, even in the most robust systems. I have a five pod eero mesh setup and where I can go direct, I use a cable.

If you have WIFI and an Apple device, a very cheap way to stream to the Stellar GCD is with an Apple TV Gen 3 which has an optical output. (later generations don’t) They can be had on ebay for about $50. It’s cheap, has galvanic isolation built in, and is pretty easy to set up. -Just don’t use the HDMI output except to set it up.( i.e. run it headless)
Most people can’t tell any difference between this and a high priced streamer in a modest system.
-Hope this helps

I forgot to mention that the Apple TV can be hard wired with an ethernet cable to your modem-router. -Not at all necessary, but it sounds a bit better. Also, “sharing” needs to be turned on thru “settings” on the apple device.
