I’ve been saving to replace my Perfect Wave disc player with a Direct Stream Memory Player only to find that the latter has been withdrawn. I can’t find any explanation as to why.
What’s worse, there is now no disc player in the PS Audio line up. I read that one is in development but it has not appeared and when it does it will not be capable of playing SACDs or the SACD layer of hybrid discs. I have several hundred SACDs so playing them into my PS DAC was an important consideration in upgrading to a DSMP.
Very disappointing!
