Beautiful, but honestly I prefer black…. But this has me curious
It’s funny that you posted this Esoteric. I was just sitting here thinking about where I wanted to head with my system three to five years from now and I am pretty sure I want an integrated vs separates. I was looking at the Accuphase E-800 50W Class-A to get an idea of what’s available now.
There’s also my curiosity about what Luxman is going to do for their 100th anniversary in 2025. I am sure they will deliver several tasty components.
If it’s discontinued, you can almost name your price !!
GO FOR IT !!!
You only LIVE ONCE !!!
Funny enough my main system (living room) has an integrated amp and the home office a semi (pre-amp including streamer and DAC). The integrated NAD M33 with the Buchardt S400 SE are a winner in SQ and for the interior committee.
In my home office, I simply wanted to hear the maximum performance of the extremely good sounding Yamaha MSP5 I once bought as high end PC desktop speakers. Unfortunately my dealer allowed me to compare them to the ELAC ARB51 and taught me that there is more. Now I am saving up for the magnificent compact Rowen (Swiss) mono-blocks and Swiss HD Solo 6 closed cabinet bookshelf speakers. It’s all nice and very compact and, the jurisdiction of the interior committee is limited in the home office
TMR has treated me great through my continuing upgrade addiction. Professional and respectful.
Also helps that I can drop off and pick up locally and not worry about potential shipping damage.
A DS MkII. Called it in. Should be here mid-February.
Excellent!
That’s awesome Tony, congrats!
Thanks. The January deal is too hard to pass up.
Man, it really is an amazing deal.
And, in an oddly parallel timeframe, my room treatments should be arriving over the next few weeks. I spent ages analyzing my room, reading books and various websites, and getting room design analysis from two different places. Fortunately their recommendations were pretty much in agreement, and with some tweaks to the recommended design from GIK, I’m going with their solution. I know some have had disappointments with GIK over the last year or so, but two of my friends very recently (late last year and just last week) received products from GIK that were as well built as any acoustic treatments I’ve seen. I’m hoping whatever their production / QA problems may have been in the last year or so have been resolved.
Just got my Mk 2 up and running.
Wow!
I put my order in for a MkII yesterday. I am looking forward to hearing what the hubbub is about.
About 50 hrs on the new amps and pre. So far I am really liking what I’m hearing, a definite upgrade. Things move up and down , but I’m sure they’ll level out with burn in.
Now I just need the MKII to ship and round things out.
It’s great to see so many people ordering and taking delivery of MKII’s. We’ve got a great group with diverse systems and a broad range of personal tweaks to share. Fantastic!
I just had a heart-attack. Why did we send our daughter to college? I could have had this for just over half of one year’s tuition.
Back in ancient history (the 1980s) my college was free and the government gave me a cost of living grant. My kids graduated in recent years and three years didn’t cost that much.
Even without that expenditure, I managed to survive without the expensive hifi in shiny, wavy boxes.
Those would make quite the display in a rack. The power supply unit for preamp it all matches wonderfully. I bet the sound is great too.
Wait, Vince. Isn’t 45,000 CAD like 600 bucks USD?
Yeah you need battery powered preamp. Even without the monoblocks.
