Your Next Upgrade? (Part 1)

That’s strange, they remind me of the Himalaya too. That may be because the photo was taken in the Himalaya.

I use the OL mats, very good, but they wear out.

You have been most helpful. My sister-in law and her family were in Scotland in 2019. Visited the Isle of Skye among other locations. Her daughter coordinated all accommodations, and details. As they are teeetotalers they bypassed the whiskey tour. When I travel I don’t have a strict itinerary, and more or less follow my heart. In the UK we found the TICs to be most helpful and the B&Bs to be most hospitable. If we land in a locale we enjoy, then we linger. I should add some my wife’s work associates reside in the Harrogate area.

Especially with my knees. :slightly_frowning_face:

I love it, but my knees may disagree. With views like that I’d not miss the whiskey or the audio salons. I had the month of February and early March scheduled for a bit of a hiking and an exploring session in the four corners region here. Then I blew my right knee out three weeks back. So that trip has been postponed indefinitely.
The four corners region is the junction of New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado.

Glad you were able to ultimately sort out your KLM flight arrangements. Your mention of Texas reminded me that a friend has been after me to do a trip to Big Bend National Park in Southwest Texas on the Mexico/Texas border along the Rio Grande.

Well I did it, an upgrade for me today! Was looking for a streaming solution with my eye on the Innuos Pulse. Ended up with a ZEN Mk III with 2TB of storage, thus solving my current storage issue. They basically made me a deal I could not refuse. The ZEN will go into my more modest system displacing the NODE 2i. The ZENith MK III and Phoenix re-clocker will stay at my summer home, with analog focus in my primary residence. I am burning it in at the moment.

I’m partial to the fugue.

They being Innuos? Just curious. Thank you

Am I in the right thread? Well, talking about beautiful places I am in one now. This was taken 20 minutes ago from Kaanapali Beach.

Looking at the latest posts, I’ve got the feeling our next upgrades in quality of life are getting out of our four walls again :sunny::scotland:🥃😉

Did someone mention hiking? I just got home from four days in Palm Springs. Hiking in Joshua Tree, Palm Canyon, and s few other places. Hiking, with no headphones! Fun!

Great hiking, my daughter just returned from there. Well actually five months and then some exploring the SW and Pacific coast.

So beautiful, bucket list stuff right there :+1:

Some things are unlimited entry and others not. When we were near Utah and planned to go to Antelope Canyon, we booked months ahead. It’s the old supply and demand, and the distillery tours are limited numbers. Also best to start walks fairly early as the car parking areas can fill up (and the light is better).

Been a happy owner of a Zen mk3 for 3 years. If you have a mk2 DAC should be great using humble usb.
