It replaces my Technics SL-1200GR table and Ortofon 2M Bronze MM Phono Cartridge, which was a great sounding combination but doesn’t come close to the MoFi.
The difference with the Ultra resistors is like upgrading from standard to high-end cables.
I always thought my speakers sounded good, but now.
It’s not a simple upgrade, it’s a transformation from the highs down to the lowest registers in a controlled and insightful way.
Like going from MP3 to high resolution audio.

I am also waiting on a recently purchased Luxman CL-38uC preamp to compare to the LTA preamp. Unlike the LTA preamp, the Luxman has a phono pre that I’ll compare to my Stellar phono pre. I hope the Luxman wins both shootouts, in which case, I will sell the Stellar and use the proceeds towards an Ortofon Cadenza Bronze cartridge. In either case, whichever line preamp I end up with, will be my end game preamp.

Having sources on the side wall fed by a Puritan and a P20, I purchased a second one to feed amplification on the front wall (Amp and 2 subs).
I already received the new PSM-156, it seems to be ok this time.
I’ve just plugged it to the wall using the Ultimate cable and it is feeding the 2 REL subs now. Let it cook for a while!
Next days I’ll try also the amp, as soon as I receive the second GroundMaster City.
It is sounding nice.

Did some rewiring on my home network, put some CAT8 cables for the Roon Rock, switch and to the wall plate. Something happened sound wise or maybe I’m deluded.
Big change repositioning the subwoofer stacks to the inside and placing the Dynaudio’s farther outward and farther apart. Wow!

Love the system. Confidence 50s are on my “final” speaker short list. Don’t have the space you do but I think they will work well in my space. Haven’t heard them yet. That will change soon enough.

IMO the stacks being near identical height helps with integration with the upper and lower midbass drivers. Rel had a December blog talking about inside placement so I had my workout moving 650 lbs of speakers/subs. This really helped with timing and phase response of subs to the speakers. I have had this setup for over a year starting with only 2 subs and adding a layer every month so I could hear the progression. I was worried about having the baffles so close, but in reality they are still stepped behind the front speaker baffles and are not affecting the imaging/soundstage in a negative way. Cheers
