This sounds so different then the BHK 250. It’s going to take a little while to reacclimate. I may need to re-toe the speakers but I am going to wait until I get used to it.

First impression: very smooth. A little tubey.

If you are curious, the books in the background are our cookbook collection.

Congrats! Sounds like classic Jeff Rowland. Give it some time and I’m sure you’ll find it interesting.

You’ve got me beat (for the cookbooks)! I have only 6 shelves worth (not counting my years of Bon Apetit, Cook’s Country, ATK, etc). :baguette_bread: :wine_glass: :plate_with_cutlery: :stuck_out_tongue:

I thought you were looking for a center channel amp, wasn’t it? The amp is a stereo amp, so it replaced your BHK250 for two channels. It looks gorgeous!

Some companies had/have a sense for design…and the will to let their customers for it

Really gorgeous design!

as in…warmer sounding than BHK??

Yes, I think so in the mids. My Wife said “silky”. I’m going with that.

Also, I get the impression that the bass is a bit deeper and faster. There’s quite a way to go before I get through my demo material. Currently listening to Karen O and Danger Mouse. It sounds fantastic.

Thank You Sir!
Just ordered a pair, I have a lot of 12AU7’s but no Tung-Sol

It will still sound odd just with a blacker background.

A man of taste!

The pictures and (results) of the activities described in the cookbooks cover all the senses:

  • beautiful room and equipment to look at (visual)
  • great sound (feel and hear)
  • good food (smell and taste)
