Hobby musician, music lover, long time audiophile, jazz-, vinyl-, and tube nut (but not dogmatic), since the DS also CD/Hires/DSD nut. I use the Directstream DAC / Windom with Bridge II, a galvanic isolation device for LAN connection, a Monster High speed CAT6 LAN cable, a NAS drive QNAP TS253pro with WD red pro drives and Jriver for QNAP on the NAS with .aif/.dsf library on 16TB storage behind. Turntable is a strongly modified Platine Verdier (the platter magnet supported/isolated version) with separate Klein motor management, power supply & motor, Wheaton Triplanar arm and Clearaudio Goldfinger Statement cartridge. Amplification is Einstein The Preamp (full class A, fully balanced, double mono tube) with separate Einstein The turntable’s choice phono amp (full class A, double mono, fully discrete ss). Speakers are a an active not market released prototype with AMT ribbon supported by a Revel B15 sub. I use all Schnerzinger signal/power cabling/distribution and a few active HF/RF field room and grid protectors. Power line is separated from the rest of the house supply and from network components. I took care of resonance control but the most relevant besides the cabling is a completely molecular reformatted and high frequency noise optimized/protected signal chain/room (as well as some meaningful non signal parts of equipment).
