Rudy spent his youngest years standing on a chair alongside the old Admiral monaural hi-fi in his parents’ basement, playing stacks of instrumental and jazz records all hours of the day. Years of taking high school electronics classes, watching his grandfather build Heathkits, and continually improving his stereo in search of “musical truth” led to his interest in audiophile gear. Years of music lessons and performing led to a life-long attraction to recorded music, and the steadily evolving collection of many diverse genres ensures the household music selections never goes stale. When not working day jobs as a server admin or in sales, or caught up in music, he can be found cycling the rail trails, cooking and grilling, traveling, wrenching on his hooptie fleet (and participating in rallies when funds allow), and photographing landscapes and architecture. He often scribbles things for Copper Magazine (the Vinyl Beat column).
